Overview

The Diploma in Medical Librarianship program provides specialized training in efficiently managing medical information. Students learn to organize and access medical literature, utilize digital databases, and support healthcare professionals' information needs. The curriculum covers medical terminology, cataloguing, and ethical information use. Course Objectives:

  • To give training to the students in the basic principles of Library and Information Science including fundamental laws, library organization, management, library and Information services and library automation
  • To train persons in the day-today routine work involved in the running of small medical libraries
