Vision:

Seeking to be a centre of excellence in Medical Education, Research and Healthcare Services and striving for achivement of acdemic excellence by education and training health professionals.  

 

Mission:

  • Imparting inspiting education to students and residents to enhance the local workforce of primary care providers and staff
  • To generate research and scholorship that maintains the voice of our community within pioneering primary healthcare.
  • To Provide compassionate , cultrially senstivicare that is holistic and healing to our community.
  • To enhance our community outreach through our collaborative service, working with others to alleviate needa and desparities.

Goals


  • To provide students with the knowledge, skills and attitudes to improve population health through education, research, and service.  (competent doctors)
  • Help the students to identify and gauge the health needs of human population, develop and evaluate initiatives to maximise health benefits, and engage in promotion and realization of conditions to address and monitor population health. (Good leaders and policy makers)
  • To prepare public health practitioners to enhance population health by exercising professional values and ethical practice. (Good clinicians)

Laboratory facilities:

A well-equipped research laboratory is available in the department for PG students pursuing MD and Ph.D. A few types of equipment are listed below-

Museum:

A well-stocked museum consisting of all relevant public health specimens and models is maintained by the department to aid in the teaching and training of students.

 

RHTC (Rural Health and Training Centre)-

  • Located at Village Asalatnagar, Muradnagar, Ghaziabad
  • Population catered – 66,500 approximately
  • Villages covered by the center- 19 villages
  • Services provided:
  • OPD services
  • Family planning services
  • Immunization services
  • IPD services
  • Health and nutrition education
  • Maternal and Child Health services
  • Laboratory services

 

UHTC (Urban Health and Training Centre)-

  • Located at Santosh Nagar, Pratap Vihar
  • Population catered – 20,000 approximately
  • Services provided:
    • OPD services
    • Family planning services
    • Immunization services
    • Health and nutrition education
    • Maternal (ANC) and Child Health services
    • Laboratory services

  1. Clinical postings in the department of Community Medicine
  2. Field visit to CHC Muradnagar as part of foundation course by Community Medicine
  3. Health and Wellness Centre Senthli  as a part of clinical postings in the department of Community Medicine.
  4. Outreach & Extension in collaboration with Community Medicine
  5. A free health camp was organized by Department of Community Medicine
  6. Santosh deemed to be University; Ghaziabad organized an awareness session on National Girl Child Day on 24 January 2023.
  7. A free health camp was organised on 20 July 2023, in Specialised Adoption Agency, Gharonda orphanage, Ghaziabad, by Department of Community Medicine, Santosh Medical College, Ghaziabad.
  8. Family Adoption Programme with was first year M.B.B.S. (batch 2022) organized on 19 july 2023 by the Department of Community Medicine, Santosh Medical College,Ghaziabad.
  9. Awareness event on ORS day (29 July) in 28 July 2023 was organized by the Department of Community Medicine, Santosh Medical College,Ghaziabad with Composite Vidyalaya, Dhuhai Ghaziabad.
  10. Department of Community Medicine,Santosh deemed to be University, Ghaziabad organized an awareness session on World Breast feeding week on 7 August.2023.  
  11. A free health camp was organised on 23rd August 2023, in Specialized Adoption Agency, Gharonda orphanage, Ghaziabad, by Department of Community Medicine, Santosh Medical College, Ghaziabad.
