Goals


  • To provide students with the knowledge, skills and attitudes to improve population health through education, research, and service.  (competent doctors)
  • Help the students to identify and gauge the health needs of human population, develop and evaluate initiatives to maximise health benefits, and engage in promotion and realization of conditions to address and monitor population health. (Good leaders and policy makers)

A well-equipped research laboratory is available in the department for PG students pursuing MD and Ph.D. A few types of equipment are listed below-

A well-stocked museum consisting of all relevant public health specimens and models is maintained by the department to aid in the teaching and training of students.

 

RHTC (Rural Health and Training Centre)-

  • Located at Village Asalatnagar, Muradnagar, Ghaziabad
  • Population catered – 66,500 approximately
  • Villages covered by the center- 19 villages

  • Immunization services
  • IPD services
  • Health and nutrition education
  • Maternal and Child Health services
  • Laboratory services

 

UHTC (Urban Health and Training Centre)-

  • Located at Santosh Nagar, Pratap Vihar
  • Population catered – 20,000 approximately
  • Services provided:
    • OPD services
    • Family planning services
    • Immunization services
    • Health and nutrition education
    • Maternal (ANC) and Child Health services
    • Laboratory services
